The James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards will take place on June 16, 2025, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. This year’s ceremony for the Restaurant and Chef Awards will see winners crowned from the list of nominees announced on April 2 (that list whittled down from the list of semifinalists announced January 22) and will arrive on the heels of the foundation’s Media Awards, which will celebrate winners in books, broadcast, and journalism categories on Saturday, June 14.
