From 10 to 13 March 2026, Italy will once again take center stage at Foodex Japan, Asia’s leading international exhibition for the food and beverage industry, reaffirming its strategic focus on the Asia-Pacific region, particularly the highly sophisticated Japanese market.
Hosted at Tokyo Big Sight – West Hall 2, the Italian Pavilion will be organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). The showcase will bring together around 250 Italian companies, including 191 exhibitors within the official ITA collective, underscoring a strong, coordinated national presence.
Spanning approximately 3,500 sqm, the Pavilion will present a comprehensive portfolio of Italian agri-food excellence, ranging from wine and olive oil to pasta, dairy products, confectionery, coffee, and other specialties emblematic of the quality, authenticity, and diversity of Made in Italy.
A STRATEGIC PLATFORM FOR THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION
Foodex Japan continues to consolidate its role as a key gateway to the Asia-Pacific market. The 2026 edition is expected to host nearly 2,930 exhibitors from over 74 countries, offering Italian companies direct access to importers, distributors, and foodservice operators from across the region.
For Italian exporters, the exhibition will be a unique opportunity to strengthen commercial partnerships and intercept demand in one of the world’s most value-oriented food markets. Japan remains a benchmark for quality, traceability, and brand storytelling—factors that align closely with Italy’s positioning in the premium segment.
PROMOTIONAL INITIATIVES AND B2B ENGAGEMENT
The Italian presence will be further enhanced by an extensive program of promotional initiatives designed to maximize visibility and business outcomes. These will include:
Live cooking shows featuring renowned chefs;
Thematic areas dedicated to wine, cheese, gelato, coffee, and panettone;
Training sessions and guided tastings for professional buyers;
B2B meetings supported by interpretation services and targeted communication activities.
This structured approach reflects the growing interest of Japanese consumers and trade operators in high-quality, premium, and authentic products. Market analyses continue to highlight Japan as one of the most demanding and sophisticated food markets globally, where origin, craftsmanship, and narrative value are decisive competitive levers.
TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION
With its large-scale participation and coordinated strategy, Italy aims to consolidate its reputation as a trusted supplier of excellence in the Japanese market. Foodex Japan will once again serve as a gateway for Italian excellence—where tradition meets innovation, and where the taste of Italy continues to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s most demanding markets.
