Rizzoli Emanuelli Debuts at the International Pizza Expo 2026

There is one ingredient that more than any other captures the authentic soul of Italian pizza: the anchovy. Savory, intense, and deeply rooted in tradition, it is from this heritage that Rizzoli Emanuelli, the historic seafood preserves company founded in 1906, has chosen to make its first appearance at the 2026 edition of the International Pizza Expo, the world’s leading event dedicated to the pizza industry.

Located at Booth #2365, the Italian company’s participation comes in a symbolic year, as it celebrates 120 years of activity. Across five generations, its Maestri Acciugai (anchovy masters) have built a legacy grounded in skilled craftsmanship, carefully selected raw materials, and slow processing techniques—values now finding a contemporary expression on one of Italy’s most iconic dishes: pizza.

While the use of anchovies on pizza is deeply embedded in Italian popular tradition, the pairing is experiencing a renaissance thanks to the rise of gourmet pizza. In this evolving segment, anchovies have become a preferred ingredient for discerning pizzaioli, capable of elevating flavor profiles and adding refinement to culinary creations. This represents a strategic opportunity for a premium brand such as Rizzoli Emanuelli, which sees pizza as a powerful platform to communicate the quality and distinctiveness of its products to an increasingly demanding international audience.

In Las Vegas, the company will present not only its product range but also a broader cultural vision of Italian pizza—an experience that combines taste, conviviality, and sharing. Together with other Made in Italy excellences, Rizzoli Emanuelli will take part in a co-branded exhibition space designed to introduce the American public not only to the ingredients of authentic Italian pizza, but also to its ritual.

The stand will host live show-cooking sessions with Italian chefs, invited to interpret the art of pizza in real time, highlighting the intersection of technique, research, and high-quality ingredients. This dynamic and engaging narrative will place anchovies at the center of preparations that merge tradition with contemporary creativity.

Among the featured products are the iconic Alici in Salsa Rizzoli, a true symbol of the brand. This signature recipe—passed down orally through generations and preserved in the renowned golden tin—delivers a distinctive flavor derived from a sauce made with spices and vegetables. The mixture is aged for six months in oak barrels that previously contained Marsala, in a process that reflects the time-honored care and attention typical of high-end Italian gastronomy.

In a global market increasingly oriented toward authenticity and quality, participation in the International Pizza Expo is a strategic opportunity for Rizzoli Emanuelli to strengthen its visibility beyond national borders and engage with a broad audience of professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Participating in the Pizza Expo means bringing to the world not only our products, but also a way of understanding Italian cuisine rooted in tradition, expertise, and respect for raw materials. In such a significant year, as we celebrate 120 years of history, we aim to continue growing and promoting our excellence, enhancing the connection between anchovies and one of the most beloved symbols of our gastronomic culture: pizza,” commented Cinzia Romeo, Export Manager of Rizzoli Emanuelli.
