From August 22-24, the Farmington Polo Club in Connecticut will host Dream Ride Experience, a charity event organized by The Hometown Foundation. Taking part in the initiative will be a little girl from Italy, accompanied by her family and assisted by the Consulta per le persone in difficoltà (Cdp) services. The young girl will travel to the United States to participate in a motorcycle tour of about 40 miles, escorted by the police, in addition to other planned activities.
The event supports Special Olympics and promotes the social inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Scheduled activities include the Dream Ride, an escorted motorcycle tour; the Dream Cruise, a parade of classic and exotic cars; and the Dream Show, an exhibition of luxury cars featuring brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, McLaren and Aston Martin.
The Italian participation was made possible through collaboration with Pagani. According to Maurizio Montagnese, president of Cdp, the Confederation of Associations Supporting People in Need: “Every year, when Pagani asks us to refer families with children who are motor enthusiasts, we take action to identify those families who, for economic or logistical reasons, could never afford such an experience. Traveling overseas for a family with a disabled child is often complex and very expensive. This project makes possible the realization of an otherwise unattainable dream. Our ambition is to soon bring the Dream Ride also to Italy by forging an official partnership with The Hometown Foundation, Inc. and strengthening the strategic collaboration with Pagani, so that more and more children and families can benefit from this unique initiative.”
In the same vein, Ruggero Dadamo, HR Director of Pagani, said, “We are proud to support The Hometown Foundation and, in particular, the Dream Ride event. Our company is among the sponsors of this extraordinary philanthropic event that takes place every year in the United States and welcomes young people with disabilities from all over the world.”
Dadamo added confidently, “Thanks to our collaboration with Cpd, for the second year in a row we were able to secure the participation of a young Italian girl and her family in Dream Ride. We are confident that they will have an unforgettable experience. We can only say, Dream Ride Experience, when dreams come true!”
