We present to you the new number of New Yorkers, live

On Thursday 2 October we will meet at the Italian Institute of Culture in New York, Park Avenue, to present the number 11 of New York. The appointment is from 18 to 19:30, and it will be an opportunity to meet with readers, guests and the Italian community of the city: the event is open to the public.

For us every release is not only the publication of a new number, but also a moment of comparison and sharing. New York was born as a point of reference for those who want to follow closely the stories that bind Italy to New York, and over the years we have joined the journalistic work events that allow us to dialogue directly with those who read us.

In this new issue you will find stories and interviews that range between different worlds. Alessandro Cattelan, on the cover of this issue, told us about his relationship with New York; Claudio Pagliara, recently appointed director of the Institute that hosts us, instead offers a reflection on the role of the United States in the international scenario; and then a memory on Giorgio Armani through a look at the cultural and economic significance of Italian fashion.

We also gave voice to the female community with the experience of Ivana Lo Stimolo, committed to building support networks among compatriots, and to the world of music with the history of Marc Urselli, sound engineer in New York and three times winner of a Grammy, which today looks at the challenges posed by artificial intelligence to creativity.

Our reports are not missing: Among these, the one from the Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest agribusiness fair in the United States, which this year saw Italy as a partner country. We were there to tell, following Italian companies and entrepreneurs close to the American market.

The evening will therefore be an opportunity not only to present the contents of the number 11, but also to gather in a single space journalists, entrepreneurs, institutions and readers. The Italian Institute of Culture has long been a meeting point for those who work to build bridges between Italy and the United States, and we are happy to meet right there.

Once we reach the eleventh issue, we continue to carry out our commitment to recounting experiences and perspectives of a community in continuous movement. We do it with the same spirit with which every time we sit down to write: with the idea that these stories belong to all of us.
