Made in Italy Expo debuts in Atlanta, strengthening trade and industrial ties with Italy

A major new international business initiative is coming to Atlanta this fall. From September 15-22, 2025, the city will host the Made in Italy Expo, a high-impact program that will highlight Italian innovation, advanced manufacturing, design and industry partnerships in the Southeastern United States.

Unlike traditional cultural showcases, the Expo is presented as a strategic platform to promote transatlantic trade, attract foreign investment and enhance the role of Italian companies already operating in Georgia. With a week full of events-including industry panels, retail activations, executive talks and a closing event featuring a Milan-style fashion show and food and wine tastings-the Expo will offer new visibility to Italy’s contribution to the growing innovative economy of the Southeast.

Organized by the Italy America Reputation Lab (IARL) in collaboration with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast – Georgia Chapter and under the patronage of the Honorary Consul of Italy in Atlanta, the Expo will also feature a special section entitled Italy Made in Georgia. This space will highlight Italian companies already active in the region-from logistics and food production to precision manufacturing and design.

“Atlanta is one of the most dynamic and internationally connected markets in the United States,” says Nicola Vidali, Managing Director of IACCSE Georgia and Expo Program Executive. “This is our opportunity to showcase Italian innovation and industry in a way that is immersive, impactful and directly related to regional growth.”

“As a proud representative of Georgia, I am honored to host the Made in Italy Expo in Atlanta. This initiative is more than a cultural exchange: it is a dynamic engine of economic growth, innovation and international cooperation. By engaging Italian companies already in Georgia and initiating new partnerships across different sectors, this program will strengthen local businesses and elevate our position as a hub for global trade. Supporting events like the Made in Italy Expo means reaffirming Georgia’s commitment to inclusive economic development and community involvement that benefits us all.” said Senator Donzella James (D-28), chair of the Senate Urban Affairs Committee.

“I look forward to curating a program that enhances the exceptional heritage of Italian fashion while introducing visitors to new and creative expressions of Made in Italy design. The Made in Italy Expo promises to be a truly immersive experience, and I am thrilled to help celebrate the rich heritage of the Italian fashion industry here in Atlanta.” said Cassandra Wilson, program Fashion Director and Atlanta-based fashion executive.

“We are proud to launch this initiative as part of our ongoing commitment to promote the Italian way of life and showcase our country’s extraordinary manufacturing capabilities. Atlanta, as the cultural and economic capital of the Southeast, is the ideal venue for this project. We are deeply grateful to the city and state authorities for their valuable support.” said Davide Ippolito, President of the Italy America Reputation Lab Council.

Expo 2025 is a demonstration preview of the full program planned for 2026, with the goal of positioning Atlanta as a permanent hub for economic collaborations between Italy and the United States.
