New York Prize: the Italian Cultural Institute opens the call for entries for the 21st edition

New York is preparing to welcome young Italian talent in the visual arts with the official opening of the call for entries for the 21st edition of the New York Prize, a unique opportunity for emerging artists eager to immerse themselves in the heart of the U.S. cultural scene. The initiative, promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York in collaboration with important Italian cultural and institutional bodies, represents a bridge between Italian art and the artistic dynamism of the Big Apple.

The prize winners will have the opportunity to stay in New York for five months, from February 1 to June 30, 2026, living an experience of artistic and cultural deepening within one of the most stimulating contexts in the world. During their stay, they will be involved in initiatives organized by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America at Columbia University, also being able to attend as auditors, with permission, courses in visual arts, architecture, cinema and art history offered by the university.

To apply, you must be an Italian citizen residing in Italy, born after December 31, 1990, and working in the visual arts, with at least one solo exhibition to your credit. A good knowledge of English is also required, which is essential for interacting in the New York cultural context.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 15 at midnight (Italian time). Applications must be submitted by following the procedures indicated on the website of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York.

The New York Prize represents a prestigious showcase for young Italian talent, offering them not only an educational and networking experience but also the chance to establish themselves on the international scene.
