Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and hard-working Litigation Attorney with an interest in food safety and a passion for victim advocacy. This is a demanding, full-time, in-office position that requires dedication and a sharp legal mind. The ideal candidate will assist in all phases of litigation, contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive legal research on food safety regulations, liability, and personal injury law.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.
Assist with all aspects of pre-trial preparation, including case management, depositions and trial exhibits.
Help manage a dynamic and demanding caseload.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, providing compassionate and dependable support throughout their case.
Collaborate with a team of lawyers, paralegals, nurses and epidemiologists to investigate foodborne illness outbreaks.
Help prepare for and take depositions, hearings, and trial by organizing case materials and conducting relevant research.
Contribute to the firm’s broader food safety advocacy mission by assisting with policy-related research and legal writing for our online publications.
Qualifications and Skills
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
3-5 years of litigation experience, with a background in personal injury, product liability, or complex civil litigation preferred.
Demonstrated interest in food safety, public health, or consumer advocacy.
Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
A strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a resilient mindset.
The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an in-office environment.
