SIAL Paris 2026 Set to Accelerate Global Food Business with Record Ambitions

SIAL Paris will return to Paris Nord Villepinte from October 17 to 21, 2026, with what is expected to be the most ambitious edition in its history, surpassing the 2024 record and reinforcing its position as a global leader in the food industry.

A benchmark for industry professionals, SIAL Paris once again positions itself as a powerful business accelerator, an unmatched showcase for major innovations, and a strategic observatory for global food trends and the future of nutrition. With 85% of exhibition space already booked, the event is set to host 8,000 exhibitors, welcome 295,000 professionals, and span more than 280,000 square meters across 10 key sectors. These figures confirm not only its strong international appeal but also long-term confidence from companies across the entire agrifood value chain.

Nine months ahead of opening, SIAL Paris 2026 is already reporting strong commercial momentum. More than 260,000 square meters of exhibition space have been sold, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period of the previous edition. Several sectors are nearing full capacity, including grocery, gourmet products, meat, poultry, delicatessen, cereals, pulses, and fruit and vegetables. At the same time, strong demand is also being recorded in multi-product grocery, confectionery, frozen foods, and beverages, contributing to a diversified and renewed offering. Italy, Spain, Turkey, Greece, and France currently rank as the top five exhibiting countries, underlining the strong mobilization of Europe’s leading exporting nations.

Innovation remains at the core of the event’s strategy. In 2026, SIAL Innovation celebrates its 30th anniversary with a redesigned format that fully integrates SIAL Taste, placing tasting at the center of the innovation journey and enabling visitors to see, understand, and experience the food of tomorrow. More than 650 start-ups are expected to attend, including around 150 within the dedicated SIAL Start-up area, highlighting emerging projects reshaping the agrifood sector. The Startup Pitch stage will offer young companies enhanced visibility and direct access to investors, buyers, and partners.

Beyond business, SIAL Paris reinforces its role as the world’s largest food trade exhibition and a leading international platform for discovery and analysis. Through the SIAL Summit and SIAL Talks, the event will bring together global experts, researchers, executives, and decision-makers to decode market transformations, challenge existing models, and anticipate the future of the industry. Key themes will include food systems toward 2030, addressing food sovereignty, climate change, and sustainable value chains; the role of data, traceability, and artificial intelligence in redefining agrifood systems; and evolving consumer expectations spanning health, pleasure, ultra-personalization, and new consumption habits.

SIAL for Change will further strengthen this leadership by dedicating space to CSR initiatives, promoting responsible innovation through the SIAL for Change competition, encouraging sustainable practices, and supporting talent development through SIAL Jobs. Together, these initiatives reaffirm SIAL’s role as a driving force in the evolution of the global agrifood industry.

Designed as a dynamic and experiential exhibition, SIAL Paris 2026 will combine business efficiency with networking opportunities. The event will introduce an AI-powered matchmaking platform to facilitate targeted meetings between exhibitors and buyers, complemented by a new Meet & Match area, an enhanced Business Lounge, and speed meeting sessions to maximize concrete business opportunities. Visitors will also be able to join guided tours across sectors and themes led by expert partners.

SIAL Paris 2026 will showcase sustainable, conscious innovation focused on concrete solutions—innovation capable of nurturing ideas, accelerating transitions, and transforming challenges into opportunities for the entire agrifood industry,” said Audrey Ashworth, Director of SIAL Paris.
