The CGIE in Dortmund for 70 years of the Italian-German agreement on work

It meets from 6 to 8 November in Dortmund the continental Europe and North Africa Commission of the Italian General Council in the East. The aid, organized by the Councilors elected in Germany with the Deputy Secretary-General of Giuseppe Stabile area, takes place in the framework of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Italian-German agreement on the work of 1955, which opened the great Italian migration season in Germany and is an opportunity to trace an exhaustive picture of the evolution and characteristics of the Italian community in the country and in Europe, as well as the role of the new generations of our mainland.

The work of the Commission, which for the first two days will take place at the Mercure hotel, will see the contribution of diplomatic authorities, representatives of the business and scientific world, as well as the representation of the local Italian community, which will debate on the contribution of our immigration in the country, with particular reference to the entrepreneurial presence and business relations, the effects of the reform of citizenship and the state of consular services.

Specific focus will be devoted to the priority themes of the CGIE agenda for the second part of the year: the diffusion of Italian in the world, with a reflection on the validity and topicality of language and culture courses and on the status of managers, education in the history of Italian emigration and the reform of the General Council.

During the last day the Commission will participate in the conference Vision Italy – Memorie e Futuro – 70 years of Italy-Germany agreements organized by the Com.It.Es. of Dortmund with interventions in the panels dedicated to the role of the institutions in today’s Europe, to scientific cooperation between Italy and Germany in the European context and to the link between the young Italians and their roots during which the CGIE Councils will discuss with representatives of the institutions, the academic and the academic world.
